drag radials for my 18's?

i know some of you have drag radials on 18's. what size rims/tires are you running and are there any fitment issues?

i have 18 x 7.5 rims and 245 45 18 street tires. i was looking at 245 40 DR's and they suggest 8" and up rim width. would 7.5" be pushing it?

didnt see the wheel width. i think youd be okay with 245/40s on a 7.5... for sure. i had 245/45s on a 7.5 wide wheel. iirc

Fuck racing with 18's and spending the extra money for 18 inch DR's. Get a set of stock wheels and put DR's on it.

^^^ x2 18 inch rims + DRs = fail... and you'll end up spending a fortune

unless you are limited by some sort of brake upgrade, get some stock rims in 16s and get some DRs in like 245/50/16 or whatever is close to stock and then go nuts

I'm guessing the reason for DRs on 18s is because you want to drive on them all the time?
What about getting matching 16s or 17s for the DRs?
I've done what's stated above (getting stock 16s) but I've got slicks on them & only use the at the track...
I have a pair of Nitto 555DRs in my garage, they are 17s. I had them on the stock Comp-G rims... I should mount those & sell 'em...
