2006 Grand Prix Power Steering

I don't know how many of you have this gen of Prix, but how the fuck do you get to the powering steering reservoir? My buddy owns one and his steering was making loud noises and we thought we'd top it off. After about 20min of searching we found it behind some lines with no way of getting a hand down there.

Please help, this car pisses me off. Love that oil filter placement right above the control arm so oil drips down on to it.

pretty simple to get to, once you figure out where it is. Just reach down there from over the top. If it helps make it easier, you can remove the coolant overflow bottle. We made a small extension on a funnel for easy filling. Just add a 8" long peice of hose to a long thin funnel.

my hands are too big, i tried. I need a chick around to wiggle those little sausages into tight spots.

I have pretty big hands as well and they fit just fine.
try removing the dog bones and moving the motor forward. its quite overkill but if your hands that big it will give you a little clearance by the firewall and overflow bottle to sneak it down there.

take it to an oil change place. they usually will top off fluids for free. plus it is easier to get to from the underside.

yeah, he ended up taking it to the dealer yesterday. The whole steering rack was leaking from several places. Getting it all done under the warranty he has.

I use a turkey baster, the cap is right under the alternator, pretty easy to get to from the top even with a STB
