a co-worker is having trouble w/what he says feels like the SC is going out... Its got 144k on it and from the sound of it has never changed the SC oil, what is the routine schedukle in which is should have been changed? Any other things possiblely? he just says when he steps on it there is lag it feels before the SC actually kicks in..

Belt? I doubt that it would lag instead of not move, if the bearings are screwed it wouldn't boost at all. Could be a nicely glazed belt.

ok, i'll find out tomorrow. would it hurt to change SC oil? when is it supposed to be changed? routinely

I have heard it's good to 100K but i change mine more frequently than that. I don't think SC oil would cause this "lag" you are referring to though. It sounds to me more like a misfire under load type thing which would be more of an ignition thing. Mine did that for a long time and it was an exhaust leak.
