My car is getting a rebuilt trans today. All new internals. I had the option to get upgrade clutch, upgraded stall, shift kit, and a few other things upgraded for $1750. Otherwise, a basic stock rebuild will be $1300. As much as I wanted to get the upgraded option I went with the stock rebuild. Yeah I know dropping pulleys and such will blow your trans. Ill see what the guy says about how much power it can handle.

A friend who is a manager at a Midas has a friend at a tranny shop that owes him a favor. The Midas guy did some exhaust work on the owner of the tranny shop. Anyway the name of the company is National.

I would stick to a ZZP or TEP Trans... Ive heard bad things about local guys who think they know how to build a trans that will last for a modified car. You could have got a basic TEP trans installed for under 2K.

Yeah I know. Its ok though. It is a trusted shop doing it so I am not worried. There is always faster and stronger but man I just simply do not have the cash.

mine was great... and i abused it hardcore... roll racing in gear.. burnout (attempts).. etc..

you hsould have went with the upgrade if you plan on modding....though i agree Dave is a good builder. look at KJ's car.
