Electrical problem?

Hey guys what's going on?

A few weeks ago my DIC would light up every so often and I didn't think anything of it. It would work and not work. When it didn't light up, I would restart the car and it would be find. Well within the last week or so when I start the car up the DIC didn't work/light up I tried to restart the car and nothing.

Well I come to realize that when the DIC is not light up, I have A/C, no automatic lights, no heated seats, no blower motor, no rear window defroster and who knows what else.

What do you guys think is the problem?

Well, first off I would check your fuses. Then I would make sure you don't have any loose connections to your DIC and HVAC controls, if the fuses are fine.

Have you done anything in the dash lately, like install a new head unit or anything?

I havent done anything to the car in a long long time. I barely even drive the car.



With DIC and the hvac not working, the fuses didnt work. I pulled the fuses and the fuses were fine. Once I replaced the same fuse and turned the key on, the DIC and hvac started to work again.

I know its just a matter of time before it goes out again.

That is why they are referred to as electrical gremlins

I've seen the ignition switch screw with the DIC, and the blower motor. It might be something to check out.

a bad ignition switch caused my DIC and blower to not work.

Werd, but it can be removed and cleaned instead of replaced if you have the patience
