Is it hard to remove the dash to remove the radio?

Ok noob here. Woopie. Never have done it before. Going to do some audio work and wanted to know how sturdy is the GP dash? Is it difficult to remove? Are there clips that are going to be hard to make them come loose and break easily?

How about re-assembly? My fear is that I wont be able to get it back on 100% stock. I have a sub and the last thing I want is something in the dash rattling.

remove the 2 screws holding the driver's kick panel to the dash and that will pull out. (pull up on it, not down). after the kick panel is out of the way the rest of the dash trim will just snap off. grab an edge and give it a good yank. all that's left is the fog light connector, and getting it over the steering column. this can be tricky, but it fits over.

It can be removed without removing the kick panel, but the lip makes it a PITA.

Also might want to get some extra clips for the dash as well just in case you break or lose a few.

i never bothered to replace them. by the end i had lost half of them and the dash rattled and squeaked like a mofo

I want no rattling. I want the dash to appear and not rattle as if it had never been taken off. Where would I find these clips? Ima do some searching.

You can pocket some at a junk yard. I got a nice dash from the U-Pull-It in Aurora. Actually, I think I have some if you want them.
