whats the difference between a 4t60 and a 4t65

Yes. Different harnesses and depending on what years, the 4T60 was a vacuum modulated transmission. That's going to be a lot more hassle than it's worth and all to have a significantly weaker transmission.

iirc the 97's have the replacable eprom where the 98+ do not, so you would probably have to swap in the whole 97 harness/pcm into your car

plus youll lose the awesomness that is the 98+ pcm lol

if the "iron chef of pounding vag" and that one dude grabe the engine from the 02 burn victom in the Jyard, just go with em and grab the trans.... 120k but ya def know why it went to the Jyard

come to think of it it may be a gt but i know i saw a supercharged burn victim...either way you can swap the hd diff and get the nicer 3.29 fdr or go with the HD with 2.93's
