HELP/ADVICE?

Ok so i can get IF I WANT TO a lower intake manifold, heads w/everything for them, valve covers, tb, and so on. Pretty much the heads up. no cam or anything like that with 40k miles. my car has 160,000 miles. i can get everything for 150 and install for 200. Is it worth it?

ok so its not a top swap but its the top end rebuilt pretty much but the stuff has 40k miles on it. so kinda new. i can get it for 150 plus 200 for install. get it?

the lower intake is leaking and i am using a lot of coolant so i think my heads might be getting warped

have you done your lim gaskets? i doubt your heads are warped.

no i havent. ive heard of these but im not too familiar with them. i just started this whole gettin into cars.

yeah i bet your lower intake manifold gaskets are fucked... search it on here... or clubgp... i really wouldnt think your heads are warped... if that 350$ price includes all the gaskets and fluids... id say do it... because thats most likely just a little more than what you would pay to have your lower intake manifold gaskets replaced... which id bet needs to happen.

sadly it doesnt come with and gaskets. it comes with the lower intake manifold, valve covers, heads w/rockers and springs, tb, and a few other smaller things i cant think of.

use the money to get the gaskets you need... i doubt your hardparts need anything. replace your gaskets and your car will be good.

yeah i doubt think your stock heads on your stock car are going to break... and a lower intake manifold is not much of a mechanical wear part... not much of anything you listed is.

id say get your gaskets replaced... and then youll be good. possibly get a new upper intake manifold... but yeah i wouldnt get new heads or lim... how far is south bend from fort wayne?

it doesnt have aftermarket heads or any other crazy hard parts i assume... so i still wouldnt do anything of what you were wishing... id get the gaskets done.

why swap heads?

this whole job should cost you 100 bucks plus labor....

if your car runs okay, dont mess with the heads. its not impossible to warp cast iron heads, but it's HIGHLY improbable. fwiw, i charge 300 installed for the LIM job including gaskets, and coolant. however i'm sure you're not going to drive from IN for it lol

its not running right though. its weird. when i just sit at a light my car tends to have this little thud and idles lower than normal. and i have no idea how LIM goes. tell you the truth i have no idea what it is lol
