Im assuming that this problem is associated to a vacuum leak (im hoping its a cheap fix)

Any input would be greatly appreciated. This just started a few days ago. I did not touch a thing on the car.

I just have a feeling the traction control is attempting to keep you from spinning your tires but they aren't spinning. That's exactly what my car does in the snow so at the very least you can eliminate that being a potential problem.

Get your LIM gaskets fixed and see if this continues. You know they are bad so eliminate a problem you know exists and see if it persists.

Can you scan? Maybe you have some bad KR, sounds like the boost bypass valve is fluctuating open/close.

It's definitely the BBV fluctuating, but he needs to figure out why. I would definitely start with turning of the TCS and trying it again. Could be confused

Don't bypass the BBV, just the BBV solenoid, if you leave the solenoid side of the BBV diaphragm open to atmosphere, it works without the computer being able to control the boost

Im not too worried about it. I have a very good feeling it will be fixed with the lim repair. Prolly some hose acting up or a vacume leak.

Kinda funny that it came outa no where though, way after I decided to get my lim done.

easy fix, just unplug the bbv solenoid, and take the vacum line off, and plug the source vacum line (coming from the LIM). this will tell you if it's a bbv problem

Have you scanned the car for pending codes? My car would act similar....would break up in the upper RPM when hard onthe throttle. 3 weeks after this started, the car died (only once), then started to throw a P1020. Cleaned the MAF and drivability improved greatly. Still getting the SES, so I think I need to replace the MAF (or just clean it again).

Might be a good idea to check it out.....take it to Auto Zone for the free scan.

Hmm the car does not throw a SES light at all. Can a cheapo Auto Zone scanner still pickup problems without the SES light?

BTW I have tried to clean the maf a little but it seems the problem is getting worse and worse (luckily the car is still drivable).

Im hoping its the last spark plug that was not changed. I bought some NGK TR6 plugs which will go into the motor hopefully this sunday.

Im also going to replace the upper (and possibly lower) radiator hose. This obviously does not have anything to do with this current problem but the upper house is begging to go south on me. Also the coolant overflow hose is going south. Anyone know what part # that is?

Don't take out the maf screen just take out the maf and clean it very carefully. Did you ever try disabling the TCS?

alcohol and a q-tip. Be very careful, but i highly doubt that's your problem. There's something going on with your BBV did you try what Phatride said?

Rubbing alcohol on a Qtip. be GENTLE!

As far as taking the screen out, there's a snap ring that holds it in.

I use a snap ring pliers like that to get it out but i'm sure you could put a small nail in a vice grips and funagle it out somehow.

btw im using a cheapo air filter. Ive heard before that they can screw up MAF's. Then again I have seen people use them without problems.
