R&R tensioner pulley underneath alternator

After installing a new alternator in to fix the noise, it turned out to be a bad tensioner... It's the one located under the alternator.

It looks like there's a coolant line of sorts connected to it.
It also looks like a royal pain in the ass to R&R.

Any hints or tips would be greatly welcomed

A new alternator coolant bracket is what you are talking about. Not that hard to swap but a little time consuming. But you cant replace the tensioner on the bracket. its all one piece. Ill check if we have any 99+ style units in stock

Should replace the two coolant elbows while you are there, if you havent done so already. They will probably break when you remove the bracket. They are only a few bucks for both.

a dood at club GP said that i would be able to just R&R the pulley without removing the entire assembly - any truth to that?

If its just the pulley, yes its replaceable. If its the tensioner its self its not serviceable.
We have the bracket and pulley in stock if needed
