Oil Drain plug stripped?

My oil drain plug wont come out whatsoever, i can turn it left and right for days but it wont come out at all or even loosen up.

Could it be stripped? If so how do i remove it?

You might drill it out and retap it, otherwise new pan....?

Had my oil changed by tuffy last and im sure they used an air ratchet and tightened it until there where no more threads...Ahh shit this should be fun.

Yeah right, like that's going to work. All they have to say is "how do we know you didn't strip it trying to remove it yourself"...then they'll tell you where to stuff it. You can take them to court, but there is no way to prove they did it, and you won't win on your word vs. theirs.

Get a new oil pan, and never take your vehicle to an oil change place. Ever.

my brothers oil change place did this to his car as well. Dont they teach them anything? Oil pan plug does not have to be on super fing tight!

I had to replace the oil pan in my little sister's Stratus for the exact same reason - oil place used an impact gun to tighten the bolt, and cross-threaded it. She had to buy the pan herself because the oil change place refused to admit they did it.

agreed........1/2 - 3/4 turn past finger tight is all you need :angry:
