3800 Security light and DHP PCM

[Yung GTP]

This security light is driving me crazy. I took it to this local shop and he was afraid to reprogram my key to the system because he may have to reset/ flash my PCM. My question is... Is it possible for me to install my stock PCM and then have them reprogram the key and when thier done reinstall the DHP PCM

Found this:

=== Relearning GP Keys ===
All Secondary Keys should be moved away from ignition switch.
Insert Master Key into ignition and start vehicle.
Ready the secondary key in your other hand.
Turn off and remove the Master Key from ignition.
Within 2 seconds, insert the secondary key and turn to Run position.
(do not start car)
when security light turns off (1-2 seconds), turn key to Off for 2
seconds.
Turn key to Run and wait for light to go out again.
This process should be repeated a total of 3 cycles of Run-Off.
Remove secondary key.
To test the key, re-insert and start car.
Light should go out within 1-2 seconds.

ok what if i only have one key? Do u have a write-up/procedure for that. cause the security light is flashing with the master key

yea its a pain in the ass though....ill find it again and hopefully post it tonight.

hey i reprogrammed the key myself. I google searched it and it gave me step by step instructions. And to think i was about to give the dealer $140 of my money to turn a key 3 times!!
