Rion - I agree with Mike. The days of sub-$1K beaters are pretty much gone. I would suggest you set your expectations a little higher...like a winter beater for $1,500 or so. I'll keep an eye out for you.

actually i found quite a few at craigslist, but kind of afraid what kind of problems i might run into after i buy it. i'm going to go look at a grand prix gt tomorrow at a small lot for $995. it looks real mint from the outside, but i bet it got bunches of miles.

A running 97-03 style GT? for $995?

Dont think your going to buy a car with no problems on that budget.
