eek that doesnt sound good!



sounds somewhat similar to the way mine did when i had a colapsed lifter, before the pushrod bent.... could be something else, but sounds similar

FWIW, when my gp had a colapsed lifter (esentially making a loose rocker) it didnt make that sound at idle.. the idle sound was off just a little bit, but the rattle didnt show untill you pressed the gas.



is your SES light on ? nab a code scanner and check the code if it is, but i wouldnt drive the car if i were you. if it is a rocker/lifter issue, you're likely to mess up stuff more.

weather new or re-used old ones, that certainly sounds like a reasonable situation that one of the bolts isnt tight anymore, and you have a loose rocker.

My car did that when I did the rockers. I torqued them wrong and then after about 100 miles the car sounded like yours. I took off the valve covers and I had 3 loose rockers.

X2. Need to clean the bolt holes with qtips. Did you torque to 15 foot pounds then 90* turn??

eh, regardless, it certainly does sound like your issue.

dont mean to sound like a ass, but talking about it aint gonna fix it. pop the valve covers off and check, then go from there.

Never experienced it myself, but I've heard videos with cracked flexplates, and I thought it sounded similar?
