3800 Steering Wheel Controls Interface

ever since i bought my aftermarket radio ive wanted to use my steering wheel controls. does this actually work?
i have a eclipse cd-4000 with wireless remote and was wondering how well these work. do u guys have any experience with this product?

yes it does work. i have one and put many of them into different cars

is it easy to install? i do alot of car audio stuff, but i have a smart connector for my stereo. i dont want to be cutting that apart. is there alot of wire cutting involved

you have to splice into the signal wire for the steering wheel controls behind the radio, then you have to program the whole interface to operate with your radio

Thats the one that I just hanked out of my GP and going in my regal. That one you have to splice up. IIRC they make a different adapter for radios like yours. Not totally sure though.

the PAC devices are great... I use several of the products in the TA and GTP for subs .. required no cutting.

As stated above, they probably make a model that's for your radio rather than splicing it in... last time I ordered my PAC stuff I went through crutchfield, but zzp may be able to get it also

the one you linked works like i stated above , but what do i know

the harness has input for steering wheel control so im hoping i dont have to cut anything on the harness side. my controls still wont work without a converter. i wasnt disagreeing with you
