3800 Low fuel?

Ok well first time starting the car in lil over a week and a half says i have low fuel.

When first do key on engine off the car reads full then it jumps down to empty and says low fuel.. I put in lil over 2 gallons of fuel....

wonder if i got something wet that shouldnt have been seems like past 2 cars ive put up on a jack the fuel gauge stops working.. ????

well.. you did nothing with the fuel pump or anything like that, right??


or did you put in a higher volume fuel pump?

nope did nothing with the tank.. didnt even do the filter change!



am hopeing its not a low sending pump and i need a highflow!

wouldnt have anything to do with the pump..


the gauge cluter reads the Sender in the gas tank.


It sends a certain amount of ohms of resistance to the gauge.


i honestly have no clue

there's a posibility that the BCM/DIC may require being filled up and driven a tankfull?



if the power was disconnected i could see the gauge maybe needing to run through it's range...
