$10,000 in car parts stolen from Ernie von Schledorn dealership


Authorities are looking for mechanically-adept thieves who stole $10,000 in parts from three new cars at the Ernie von Schledorn car dealership in the Town of Sherman, according to a Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department report released today.

Three superchargers valued at $3,800 each were taken sometime before Monday from three Pontiac Grand Prix models, the report said.

According to the report:
The thieves apparently removed the grille from each car, releasing the hood, and then clipped the belts and wires attached to the part before removing it. Employees said a similar theft has been reported at the Ernie von Schledorn dealership in Saukville.
The thefts were discovered Monday when an employee tried to move one of the cars and found it wouldn’t start.

Lt. Jim Risseeuw said investigators have no suspects. [/b]
