3800 supercharger bypass actuator?

is this important to my car's health. the one on my car was broken since the day i got it. i have a vacuum hose connecting where the actuator used to be. am i damaging it by doing this?

well looking at your cardomain pic of your engine bay the vacum line and fitting on the boost bypass valve look fine (the question mark shaped line from the vacum tree to the bbv)



are you refering to the line/nipple on the boost bypass valve solenoid?

its really not. the bottom hose is disconnected because the plastic piece that connects it broke off. as u can see in this pic.

when i took the pic on my car domain that was when i first got my car. it is missing a few things. but it was hangin out in there not doing anything so i decided to take it out and bypass it

yes, you will be fine.

Actually by removing that and the line that goes to the fuel pressure regulator you are creating a vacuum controled bypass, which is what I have done to all my GTPs.

Not really more performance, I just don't like the computer trying to control boost because it does a piss poor job of it. A vacuum controlled setup is much more reliable.
