3800 Mustang hood scoops...

Are those things real? i looked at the Rouches and saleens at the dealership next door and those things look like they got honeycomb plastic in them so no air goes though....are they purely asthetic like the things on the rear fenders?

and pardon my spelling, it's 2 am and my contacts are gettin a little fuzzy...

most mustang hoods i have seen are not functional. like the 02 hood on my buddies gt.. is not, and has that honey comb you are talking about. my other buddy has a roushe hood, which can be made functional but he chose not to. hope that helps.

The only hood I know is functional is the Mach 1's. The rest are for looks. I'm not sure about the Roush.

IIRC its called the "shaker" or somthing hood that is functional on the mach 1's
ive seen people put that on other models tho.

There is a different Plenum and Intake that is needed for that hood to work.
