I have a 99.......did they change it?

Under load, mine was putting out 94 amps.....which would be good for a 100 amper, but not really for 110...hmm....

The rule is generally 10% less, correct?

yes generally 10-20% of adv amperage is good....how clean is the voltage? (checked for AC ripple?)

and 110 amper is kinda a misnomer....the delco alternators as well as others are usually named based on the stator ID a CS110 has a 110mm ID a CS130 has a 130mm ID

and yes in a way the ID does directly affect current capability because of the speed of the armature past the stator

alright, you passed me up a bit....I had 94 under load......that is OK correct?

Battery was a little low and the starter was good

Sorry man,
when looking at AC ripple your looking to confirm that the diodes (rectifier) are functioning well you test for it with an all in one tester or with a DVOM set on AC voltage

yes thats sounds good for a 105-110 amp unit

did you test it with one of the autozone testers that they can roll out to your car?
or was it tested on a benchmount tester off the car?

james has a tendency to do that

i know the high output ones for our cars are 210

meh i'm hardwired for overkill B)
