well first off the cat was fubar'd in Eric's 98 Riv (major airflow issues!) aaannnd since forever the DMH 2.5 cutout has been sitting in his parts pile....so last night from 5pm to 6 am eric and i did a crapload of work on the riv...
gutted the cat, welded in the dump (has a few modifications to allow the DMH to sit as far up into the resonator area as it can (just over a 1/4 inch closer to the ground than the front subframe bottom) and welded everything together after copius amounts of grinding and shaping to assure max flow...cant wait till he can afford the pacesetter headers again...but he has a little girl who'e used to getting spoiled this time of year...(she has him wraped around her little finger :lolsign: )
got everything wired in, yada yada yada....go to do some tuning...and the o2's dead...i mean it's fucked
i knew i shoulda made him yank it out with all the DP mockups for clearance/welding, i guess it just finally gave up the ghost (i'm almost sure it's the wires at the end of the o2) so i just flashed it with one of the saved known good tunes (rich) and it seems to do well with it unplugged plugged in it runs pig rich with the trims going as far as +18 but no major knock so he's babying it for a bit...but he loves the E cutout sooo much fun this morning at 6am
i still have to wire it to his unused OE stereo volume switch on his steering wheel but hey it was almost 6am at the time...
and we also raped the 93 GP...bye bye 3.4 LQ1 soon the 3100 from the 442 will go in there and Al will have his new daily driver!
i'll post pics later after i upload em to Photobucket
