3800 Powertuner, get this over dhp1.0?

Thanks for help on the pacesetters! My other question,

Looking at getting a DHP1.0 PCM, and just thinking is it worth the extra dough to get the powertuner. I already have an ls1m and could sell that to make up the difference. Is it worth it? Also, I CAN get rid of my ls1m as I can scan with the powertuner right? Pretty much all it is, is a program on a laptop, plug it in like the scanner and then toy with it? You can rewrite stuff on a OEM stock pcm too right?
