I was really hoping to hit 12 today but I was getting 3-4* of KR. I am not sure why because yesterday I was KR free. I was second place for the bracket races but my friend was first so he has the powertuner. I neat thing is we went in a bought on together a while ago and were always swaping cables, so the is taken care of now. I was the fastest GTP with a stock throttle body, blower, trans, and second for the cam. I was beat by the one any only Ron Voguel. Ron was nice enough to give me the cam install gift. I also gave the shift kit to the next person because i wil be getting a Dynotech trans with all the goodies very soon. It was a very good day and had a ton of fun, set a new PB along with a lot of other people.
Ron also blew out the driver side axel and just destroyed it. The boot cought the metal brake line and bent it a little so I am glad the the brakes didnt fail and he is ok.

First i will start out with the fact that i need street tires launching lessons but i ran d a 13.67 @ 104 on a 2.3 60 :( . Get a better 60 ft for me, tune and injectors, 3.0, larger fmhe and ic res and this car will haul. i was very happy with trapping 104 consistently 4 times. EVerybody else seemed to have done well but they can post their own times. :)

ron got a 12.19 which was awesome!!

i snagged a 13.29 1st run with a 2.1 60 foot at 104.8
then i got 13.5 at 105.6 2.1 60 foot
and for my last finish i broke a 1.8 60 foot with a 13.27... at 103.7 so it wasnt bad i knew i coulda gotten better but i got like no runs in which i was pissed about. time for the IC.

LOL

I also had a great time. It was nice to put names to faces.

The best runs for the SSEi were:

Ron driving: 13.29 @105.18 (2.02 60')

Me driving: New PB: 13.53 @ 103.41 (2.04 60')
(Previous PB was 14.81 @ 95.35 (2.02 60'))

I guess the 200lbs I have over Ron hurt my times. ;)

Thanks to Mike K, Ron and Matt for the help today. I appreciate it.

My two best timeslips looked like this:

60 ft: 2.1641
330ft: 5.6703
1/8et: 8.5160
1/8mph: 86.23
1/4et: 13.0261
1/4mph: 108.96

60 ft: 2.1240
330ft: 5.6901
1/8et: 8.5383
1/8mph: 86.87
1/4et: 13.0351
1/4mph: 109.53

My need for a set of headers became quite apparent. Today was my first runs with the nitrous, and my fuel jet was a bit too small as I was running awfully lean, and showing ~1-2* of KR for pretty much the entire run. I'm confident that had I been able to run KR free, it would have been a 12 second pass. Then again... if I had a set of slicks or DR's, I would have had a solid 12 second pass too.

Ah well... these times should hold me over well till next season... and HOW ABOUT THOSE TRAPS?! :D  :D :D

It was a good day with my Basic Mods 14.0 on street Tires 2.0 60ft knocking on 13s door

The Bad thing about the day the computer at The Brackets times said I won in the first round when I dial in at 14.2 broke out @ 14.0 PB on street tires. So the #s were Calculated Manually to fixed the problem

Still was a great day.

There was a meeting with the US41 Track Official & Racers saying that they were not making enough money to keep the Bracket Racing events and might do away with it next year. Its seem they make there money on Street Racing events.

i had a blast too, it was great meeting everybody.

my first run i got a 14.71 @ 80-something. i had a 2.5 60'
it was my first run ever, so i was really nervous. i launched late on randy's light  and chirped the tire 2 or 3 times within the 60' mark.

my PB of the day out of 5 runs was a 14.35 @ 96.60 and a 2.224 60'

it was fun figuring out how everything works at the track, and it was nice to finally put down some times. everyone was really helpful with all of my newb questions that day, and it helped the day go a lot smoother for me. Special thanks to Paul who pretty much walked me through the ENTIRE process of getting teched, dialing in, staging and racing.

Cam, Headers, Gen V S/C will all help your top end.

We were bracket racing, and he watched my light instead of his... You still beat me though... It takes some time to get use to it. Trying to go on the last yellow is tough. I was suprised that I did not red light at all this time out.

if your car was slower like mine, you wouldnt have to worry about redlighting when launching at the last yellow ;)
