3800 exhaust problem

I just got done installing my wbs ic with a 3.0 pully. Its running really strong...but i was driving it home tonight and the light turned yellow so i just gave it like 3/4 throttle and my exhaust got very loud. I looked under my car and my exhaust isnt hanging. It sounds like the rear exhaust manifold. I think i blew out the gasket. Anyone have this problem before or heard of anyone. Just thought i would check

exactly what happened to my car. Got as loud as open headers. Brought it to midas to get it welded up....they woulnt weld it so i bought headers.

The doughnut(sp) gasket on teh DP start to move sometimes......

Happened to me.

just layed under the car to check it out i blew the downpipe off of the rear exhaust manifold. The flange is stll bolted to the manifold. what would you guys do in this situation? Thanks

get it fixed.









haha kidding... is it stock d/p or aftermarket? quickest fix would be to take it to fair muffler or james dean and have them weld you up a new one....

i took it to the local muffler shop and they welded the flange back on to the downpipe for $20. And its not the stock one toasty. Thanks for the help

Now I need to have the same thing done, it sounds like my car is a fricken POS
