Are any of the parts on the wbody site available for local pickup, rather than order/ship? neeed lower motor mount, i'm believing... dont want to have to hunt for a real solid one from napa....

While we are close to many of you guys the official answer is no because my schedule is so hectic that I generally end up rescheduling 5 times and then everyone ends up frustrated... Happens everytime without fail and it's always my fault.

may sound dumb, but is it fairly easy to tell the solid and hydraulic mounts apart? pix?

Shake and listen for fluid.

It really doesn't matter if you get the hydraulic mount instead of the solid. The two are identical sans the addition of fluid to the hydraulic mount. The solid mount even has a void where the oil would reside.

so if it doesnt matter which you get, why all the hype over the 'solid' ?

the only place that has any of them is autozone, and they have the hydraulic one..


is it foolish to have hydraulic mount below with aluminum inserts on the upper dogbone mounts?

I think im going to replace the aluminum mounts up top, i am tired of my dp coming loose and other engine parts coming loose.

i may rotate the stock rubber inserts on the factory mounts and just go with those....

unless someone can give me a better idea?
