3800 a friend needs help

My friend has a 98 GTP.. he has the stock Performance shift option.. When he turns the button on the shifter to on, their is a BLUE light on his dask that says Perf shift by the RPM.. It wont go on his DIC.. should it.. I dont know much about the 98's but on mine it shows up.. I think his display might be burnt out.. any thoughts...

On 98's it is only the blue light, not the DIC.

My 98 had a dash light that said performance shift. It said nothing on the DIC.

I guess there is a way but its a pain in the ass, thats what I was told, didnt look into other than that, it looks cooler with the light on the dic too, pisses me off.

The DIC has it, but it doesnt light up. Really sucks if you get gauge overlays and it doesnt have the cutout for the DIC light.

My '98 lights up with the blue light in the dash and on the DIC. I gues its kinda rare that both light up.
