3800 '93? Grand Am supercharged?????

I was walking to get my lunch today and saw a '93ish year Grand Am in downtown Naperville, looked nothing special. The badges on the side read "GRAND AM SC" though, and the badges looked stock. Did they make grand am supercharged, or does it mean something else? I was just curious if anyone knew.

No they didnt make them that way...

What color was it?...there was soemone I know that put a blower on a GA then got rid of it. It was still slow...lol

Definitely NOT stock.
Check the eighth digit of the VIN for the engine code. I've never run into one in all the years i worked as a parts counterman for GM

that sounds like the most logical answer to the question cause like I said, it looked nothing special.....hubcaps (missing two), dirty, single exhaust, ect. ect. Thanks for answering my question.

wow, I havent seen that one yet.. My Bro had a 93 Grand Am GT and it was pretty quick.. GM offered a (Special Package ) Has anyone ever seen one??? If I would have known I would have looked for one used.. Yeah Bob.. The romer I keep hearing about is you can do some sick stuff with the Cav.. I hear you can get them up to 8 or 900 HP on the block or something like that.. Am I right or close...

No Im talking about the Cavalier.. My buddys dad is all into it and says you can get them up to 8 or 900.. He says that shit everytime i go over there and he all like, My Cavalier can beat your GTP.. Just wondeering if it was true...

but where is jasons car now? the 2.4 liter is not the cavi motor that all the people build up. the ECOTEC is the motor for that. they have 6 second ones using that block. thats with a turbo tho. the SS SC motor is similar but most build the 2.2 up
so your close but very very far away.
