3800 Performance Shift on a 04

Alight here is the deal i know they stoped putting the performance shift on gtp in 00 i think...but i know there is a way to still get it by running a wire from your PCM...Does anyone know if u can do this in a 04 or is it always in Performance Shift becasue just about everything is electronic in the car...plz help

I know from 01-03 you could add it. I dont know about 04. Charles would probably be your best answer.

why you 04 owners dont like having your trans settings on max all the time
ive heard there is not away of adding according to zzp. charles might of found a way tho. i dont think there is an open pin place on the pcm, 01-03s used the same pcm so it was just left untapped.

well chad I added the pweformance shift option to my car..( the guys here helped me get through it..) but I agree you will have to check with Charles.. ( DHP ) when I got my tuned PCM it was already in there.. I just had to install the switch and the pcm wire.. I think it is worth a shot...

he has nothing to add there is not empty pin slot for it, its a diff pcm all together
it needs to added to the pcm as extra trans settings

next to impossible you'd need the source code that gm used to readd the performance shift tables to the pcm then you'd need to add a pin to the newer pcm which may be impossible.

EWWWWW thats sucks alot...Well maybe charles can help me out with this maybe he knows the code or something of someway to get to it....

you would still need a pin port to ground, it mithgt be possible if you have a PT and can change what mode your trans settings are in. but that would be a big hassle more of track thing then
