3800 Bryon Dragway is open this Friday night!!!

Byron Dragway will be open this Friday for the first time in my memory. (…I’m old!) There is an IHRA division event there this weekend and they will open the gates for T&T for this weekend participants as well as the general public. They’ll be running from 3:00pm to dusk. (I’m guessing somewhere between 7:30 and 8:00.) I’m sure some pit lounging can happen afterwards too. B)

There should be quite a few local area guys out but it would be nice to see a few GP’ers represent too. I’m bugging out of work around 2:00 and should be there by 5:00 with the Lightning and a cooler. (The wife is still driving the Regal! )

I hope to see a few of you guys there.

I've heard that Ron has lights but doesn't want to spend the money to upgrade the electrical and facilities for night racing unless a lot of interest is shown to do so. This Friday's racing will only go on until dusk, probably 8-8:30'ish.

You must not be as old as I thought. When I was7-9(before Jerry Simpson died) they raced until sunset.
