3800 Oil Leak

I've been leaking a little oil for 2 years now. It has been about half a quart every 3000 miles so I havn't worried too much. Now it seems to be getting worse and I want to get it fixed. I don't see any oil coming from the around the heads and it seems to be dripping from above the oil pan so I figure that it is coming from one of the main seals.

Is it worth fixing if it is a main seal? I don't really want to pull my engine because of all the problems that can occur from it. Has anyone else had to replace there main seals because of an oil leak? Any tips?

Have your ever checked your oil pan?? I could have sworn that there have been a few cases of oil leaking from the pan.

Also, have you checked the valve covers?? I know for a fact that the valve cover gaskets suck.

Def Not the oil pan or vc's. Anyone had to replace there Main seals before?

Can you confirm that it is actually leaking out of the engine? Are there spots on the ground? If not I would look at the valve seals.

There are tons of spots on the garage floor now, I have been driving with this leak for over a year and it has gotten much worse than when I originally saw it.

what about the oil filter?? have you checked if its leaking from there? most people overlook that. i know i have.

Its def. your valve cover gaskets -
Mine have been leaking for about 3 years now - no joke - I had them replaced but the continue to leak - pretty good too....
Not much you can do about it - besides buy a new car -

if its a valve cover.. which it is NOT... you dont have to just buy a new car...

that is one of the dumbest things i have ever seen.

$20 says it's the oil pan gasket or front main.

oil pan gasket was replaced 2 years ago. The leak is coming from above the oil pan gasket area and I checked around all my valve cover gaskets and nothign there. It has to be the front main. I was going to pull the engine this weekend, I am going to wait till next weekend now. I have never done this before so it should be fun.
