Fireworks at navy pier on the 4th of July before? COuple of friends are debating on it..(with my driving of course <_< ) I know its insane down there, where do you park at? Take cabs to the lakeshore?

Any advice?

take the train haha OR get there before 10am to get a good parking spot. OR find somewhere that has good access to the L-train and park their then just take that downtown.

Yup, take the train in to the city or take the El. Much quicker. That's what we've done for years.

Its one big Fcken Zoo out there! After a few times of going downtown for the fireworks I will NEVER do it again.

yeah, i was downtown working on michigan ave today..and forgot about the Taste..theyve already got roads shut off for that...

The Big Show of fireworks is on July 3 everybodys down there for that. Navy Pier Shoots of fireworks every wed and Saturdays.

used to go every year to the madness that is the July 3rd fireworks LOL. We always took the train and always headed toward the lakefront early to get a place as I think they say there are literally millions down there to watch them. We only made it to the lake front once, other times we always got stuck standing on the shut down LSD or by Buckingham Fountain to watch them. Have fun

The lady and I are taking the train from Kenosha at 6:40 AM so we can be there by 830.
