i was looking through all these random cars online when i was bored and noticed that alot of them had roof scoops and have no idea what they are for...well if any1 can help thanks

40th edtion...had rails if thats what you talking about....it helped on the highway with stability.. ...i dont like them...but if you actual roof scopes...some cars like the MR-2 and fiero used them to get air to blowers and turbos because of rear engine

k, but i didnt mean the rails im with ya i dont like them either...but on car domain theres a small scoop on a civic...thats just for looks then?

Roof scoops are for rear engine cars like a fiero or some exotic cars. its basically a air scoop directing air to the intake.

On a civic its purly rice.

Ohh and i have rails on my car...I think they look awesome...dont hate lol

So does the 2001 75th Anniversary. Personally, I like the way my car looks with them. As far as stability, who knows.

2000 was the first year with them with the Daytona 500 edition which I have so quit hating on the rails. Next was the 2001 Special edition which is the same kit as the Daytona with hood and spoiler and rails. And then the 2002 40th edition which has a completely different spoiler .

I think you got special and 75th confused :lolsign:
