ok so i have a set of 1.9 mod'ed rockers , im considering 90lb springs and 6200 shift points, im pretty sure thats well beyond safe enough, But what are the downfalls of the stress from this. More or less what else is going to be stressed and most likly to fail or break in stock heads that i should worry about. is there somthing else to invest in now

Springs are the first thing you'll worry about and the first thing likely to break however we've heard of very few cases of the modified rockers breaking springs especially with a relatively low shift point.

6200 is about right for a rockered car.

FWIW, an Fbody 3800 company was doing some research and found that higher spring rates dont hurt performance as much as we think. Here is an interesting read from the L36 section of clubgp.

Above 6000 on a rocker car and you're pulling your pud, IMHO.

I haven't seen any good reason to rev higher than that for power, but I sometimes rev to 6200-6300 in 2nd to avoid shifting into 3rd during a run.

BTW, I use L32 springs they had low miles when I put them in and have had no problems with valve float.

I'm not convinced that 90's are that great yet, but the populous seems to dig 'em. I personally would go with 105's over the 90's., only because the tension is more even (in a linear rate). From what I've seen, the 105's seem a little easier in the seats when they close.

Ditto. The 90lb springs will wear on your timing chain faster than the 105s.
