Please describe some more details about your GTO.
Year, Mods, etc. I've been romping on them even when I had my GTP. So i guess everyone that owns them doesn't know how to drive. Please enlighten me.
Also, do you have any timeslips?
04 GTO M6 LS1 ENGINE MODS....CAI...SLP MAF thats it. Oh, no mufflers either, but the cats and resinators are still there.
This was run # 7 for me that night against a late model stang. And you'd be correct in saying that it's a drivers car. There is so much torque that you get terrible wheel spin and hop. In order to properly launch the car without this hapening you have to slip the clutch and ride it like a $2 whore. Most guys won't do this, and to knock another .2 off your time, power-shifting is required, and here again they won't do it. If your up against an auto....well they suck unless they've installed a higher stall torque converter. I've beaten 05 & 06's with auto's, and they've got me by 50 HP!!!!! Also there is the thing called EGO Which a lot of people have. Well then you ask ''what about you then''. I lost it when I was in my 20's because you can't learn anything if its too big cause it might get hurt. I was turning mid to low 14's with this same car but after 150 passes or so you learn. I'll get off my soap box now, but if you want we can meet up at 66 sometime. I've installed a stronger clutch for road racing which I'm getting into big time now(Spec stage 2+) so I can't slip it and the tires spin, but I'll try. And as for Chad, no turbo means you owe me $50 big ones!!!!!
