well to make a long story short, went to DID w/ chad and pulled the car a couple of times. i understand a mustang dyno shows a more accurate measurment of power, but how much less is it REALLY than a dynojet? the max power was 260 and max tq was i believe 254 (sheets in the car). i was looking for 300fwhp...way off. first a/f was 11.4, then i leaned it out a bit and was at 12.2 on the wideband, i just dont get it? anyone have any numbers as to how much more power a dynojet will get?

heres the vid of the best pull for us: http://media.putfile.com/dyno-30

here is a vid i took of chad dynoing: http://media.putfile.com/chad_dyno

What was the calibration factor for the dyno? It should be on the chart.

ok i thought mustangs were lower not higher, and i was wondering why the torque was low. decent horsepower for the mods, but i thought most cam guys were closer to 290 on the torque, was there any other tuning issues, how much timing were you running
just wondering?

yeah but both zzp and cartuning, say they dyno there GT's at 160 ot the wheels
and HPP magazine when they tested the zzp ssic on a car with 7* of knock with a 3.4 pulley and HAI, and dyno'ed 208 to the wheels. your test car charles sounds like it was on its last leg. cartuning has there dyno runs on vid at the website. its a nice site, skip the intro

i see, i have the sheets in the car, the dyno seemed accurate i guess,

http://www.scandepot.net/viewscan.php?pk=1961

thats the scan from the 260. wow i just looked at it. o2s are through the roof. i am still taking away fuel with the afc, but it doesnt seem to help. timing was decent, but it was a 3rd gear pull (not sure if it matters) so it only got up to 12.46psi of boost, i could probably see 1psi more from 1-2. who knows. by the ltft is a tad lean, maybe i need to take more off of the top end?

I gues I didn't clarify that for you.

It was a brand new 2003 GTP (at the time) and it was on a *MUSTANG* dyno.

A mustang dyno will show much lower #'s as it actually compensates for such things as drag, etc, etc. Its put more load on the car to make it more realistic. This is wjhy people have such major differences between dyno jets and mustang dyno's...

On a dyno jet, you're looking at much better numbers ~20% of crank HP loss. i.e. 200HP rate to crank = 160 to the wheels....
