3800 Emmisions Testing

I'm just wondering what the procedure there is, when i should go, and what to expect. I'm gonna plug my powertuner in and clear all my codes before i head over, although the car hasn't been doing anything funny lately.

Any info is appreciated. I gotta get tested before the end of august, but the sooner i get it done, the sooner i can gut my exhaust

if you clear the pcm before you go, it will fail. you have to cycle the car a few days prior for all the checks to balance out.
ive got my codes taken care of, but i'm running with the abs/tcs light on, because of a broken wire. I doubt i'll pass with those MIL's lit up, so ill splice wires together a few days before I go. I'm due this month.

BTW, ive got a race pipe to install after testing to get rid of my cat.

FWIW You should pass with the abs/tcs light on, I passed with those lights on before in the Taurus.

i had no issues at the one at 355 and maple ave. in downers grove, i had no cat and a big obvious mech. cutout. and the car was loud as hell, some might rember it. i just made sure my o2 sim was in and i was all good. zero probs, they didnt do any kind of visual test (thought that was weird).
actually i had the SES light on the day before, because of the engine not heating up fast enough.
i had it cleared at a local autozone.
i dont see you running into any probs
