3800 fogs and high beam

I did the fog lights on with high beam mod a couple months back. I have silverstars and both the fogs have gone out now. They are only about 8 months old. I dont use my high beams that often if that makes a difference. So, is it the wiring mod or the silverstar bulb themselves? I have heard that sliverstar bulbs go out quickly. But i have them in my head lights for 2 years and that are still good.

Silverstar foglight bulbs are junk, mine lasted 3-4 months, granted they were in a Regal, but there the same bulb.

fixed, i bought pilot fogs at autozone on my way home from work. Those things are bright as hell!
