3800 Trany problems

[99GTP]

I start my car this morning and I reverse out of my driveway, and put it in drive but it doesnt move just rev up... 1 and 2 work but no drive or 3. Im gonna check my trans fluid when I get home. Could low trans fluid cause this? Thanks.

fluid is ok, torque converter maybee? no one has had this problem?
I have drive now when im at speed manualy shifting, but when i slow down I have to downshift or it just revs up.


SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!

You are checking the fluid level while the engine is running in park?

yes, I warmed it up and shifted through all the gears a few times, put it in park then checked it. my coworker thinks you need it in neutral to check it....?
The thing is, i've never had any kind of problem with my trans, no slip or anything. I only have about 80000 miles.

mods: dhp.exhaust,3.4,intake, not heavily moded, maybe the DHP?
