3800 Machine shops near by?

Wheaton/Naperville/Aurora/Schaumburg area

what kind of porting! ron does some small stuff i hear but other then that i dont rember were the one was it was by a out doorshop in DG but they moved!

I don't think I'd trust any local shops to do it. Hunt around on Club GP. You'd be better of finding someplace that has done a few sets first.

Downers Grove Auto parts on Ogden has a machine shop.

IDK about them, they botched up some stuff for me a few years back. I used Custom engine service out of Aurora before, they did a great job, but I had them doing machine shop work only, don't know if they do porting. Liveonnitro reccomended a shop out of Roselle called EWS or something too.

I could have sworn he said a place in either Addison or Schamburg. He said that they have done 3800 f body heads with good results.

Yeah...that's the place. I don't know why I can never remember that...jeez, EWS is my welding supply co.

Heh, And we supply EWS with their welding supplies...

Ron if you ever need anything let me know first..Ill bet i can get you stuff cheaper then any welding supply house could. This is only for rod, wire and flux, we stoped carrying replacement parts a while ago. But we have enough here to build a bridge...whatever you need...Mig, Tig, specialty, aluminum, stainless, mild steel..you name it.
