3800 My Slotted Rotors

Ok, so I got my slotted rotors in from PFYC and they look like they can take abuse. However, they reccomend non ceramic pads for these discs. They recommended that I use semi-metallic Hawk Pads. Do I really have to use those or is that a advertisement thing? Would it be bad to use ceramic pads on those rotors? What brakes do you guys reccomend? My ceramics on my car have about 4000 mles on them if that.

I would definately put new pads on! I had Hawk pads with my Power Slots the first time around. I liked them but now that I went with the 12" upgrade I put on some GranSport 6 pads from TireRack. I personally like the GranSports better. Less dust (like none) more surface area and just a better quality looking product. You might save 40 bucks now but you'll pay for it in the end.

What about Raybesto quitestops? I have those and love them, along with very little break dust.

I was looking for something more on the lines of the baove statment. I assume those are semi-metallic. Yes? I forget whats the charge on those. $$
