John,

The AFC devices spoof the MAF sensor signal, which in turn allows either the addition of subtraction of fuel.

The AFC 1.1 device, only allows you to make one setting across the MAF frequency range.

The AFC 2.x device does the same as above, but it also gives an "Advanced" mode option which will allow you to set custom settings on each khz on the MAF scale, an example would be: 1-3khz = Idle, 4-7khz = Cruise, and 7-11.5khz = WOT...

While the AFC works as it's supposed to, please be aware that it does have some reprocussions if you decide on using it later down the road with larger mods (cams, larger injectors, small pulleys, etc). For example:

- Scaling the AFC too low for larger injectors or other mods will cause such things as trans shudder, and incorrect locking/unlocking of the TCC.

- Scaling the AFC too high for a lean condition could cause you to add unecessary timing.

However, with your mods currently you should be fine!
