3800 Another whine...

Tonight I started to notice that when driving the car that it makes another whining (sp?) sound and its RPM related. It has a different sound/pitch then that of the supercharger whine. This whining sound seems to be coming from the nose drive of the supercharger.
The coupler/fluid was changed not THAT long ago, maybe 10-12k ago. Anyone have an idea as to why the nose drive is making this noise?

Could be a bad bearing in the snout. I just had to fix this same thing on my 14K mile SC.

I was at first thinking the power steering, but I can definately tell its the nosedrive, when I have the hood up, and my head close by it and rev the engine I can hear it.

Ron, how worried should I be, and what am I looking at for repair?

If you end up replacing the snout, talk to Ed Morad ([email protected]). I'm sure he has low mileage ones for really cheap..

I'll help you replace it if you decide on going that route. You'll be surprised on how easy it is to replace...

Also If you get the snout, remember to purchase 2 bottles of SC fluid and a new coupler for it (You could get the ZZP one)...

Will do, Im gonna try and get this stuff ordered quick, this seems to be affecting the car some from what I can tell.
