blogo is at it again!!!
>>
>> Illinois will begin using photo radar in freeway work zones in July.
> Second
>> offense tickets are $1,000 with license suspension. Beginning in July the
>> State of Illinois will use speed cameras in areas designated as "work
>> zones" on major freeways. Anyone caught by the devices will be mailed a
>> $375 ticket for the first offense, but a second ticket will cost $1000
>> and
>> comes with a 90-day license suspension. Drivers will also receive demerit
>> points against their license, which allows insurance companies to raise
>> their insurance rates. This represents the harshest penalty structure yet
>> for a city using photo enforcement. The state will begin with two camera
>> vans issuing tickets in zones with speed limits lowered to 45 MPH.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>> Photographs of both the driver's face and license plate are taken.
>> Officials announced the plan on the Dan Ryan Expressway suggesting
>> Chicago
>> area roads are likely to be a target. Illinois Tollway Executive Director

> our
>> $5.3 billion Congestion Relief Plan, drivers will see more work zones on
>> the Tollway than they have in the past."

What about that spray stuff they sell? They had it on the news and said it was illegal to use and youd be in "big trouble" if caught.

Yeah I was about to mention that spray stuff. If you look in the back of the motorTrend book in the merchandise section they say that its Legal use it.
Check it out....

Some one needs to wake this guy. J/K. I am going to show this to my old man. He was good friends with Danny Stafanski aka squarel (union Leader) and Robs nick name was BAGS. Danny and Rob B. grew up in my dads old hood in the city. They still talk often. I will have him ask if they are really going to pass this. You would have never of known these guys would be in politics this day in age. These guys were all connected if you know what I mean

good point but the reason why this concerns me I don't want these damn things to eventually be lined all the way down the toll systems.. say it's 2:20am there's not a damn car on the toll and you're supost to sit there at 55mph cruising all the way home when you could drive 65/70mph safely easily.. of course you would NOT be doing this by the constrution zone..

Exactly!

Don't want to get a ticket, drive the speed limit. It's really that easy!

The other thing I can not understand is all the people that drive through the I-Pass lane so they wont pay a toll, then when they get a huge ticket they get mad.

What a bunch of tools.

You know I wish I could find a state without tollroads. Where the roads are smooth and the speed limit is 65 or 70. And people move right for faster moving traffic behind them. And no one uses the left lane except to pass. If I could find a place like that I would move there......................
