3800 Trans Surgingg, HELP!

My brother's GTP is surging. I scanned the car and no misfires, engine seems to be running good. I am suspecting the trans or torque convertor... What are the symptoms of a bad torque convertor?

My brother's GTP is surging but not hard. I scanned the car and no misfires, engine seems to be running good. I am suspecting the trans/torque convertor... What are the symptoms of a bad torque convertor? How about a vacuum leak? It is basically happening under boost. The SES light is not staying illuminated only rapidly flashing and then going out on a few occasions.

If the light is flashing a cylinder is misfiring. Under part throttle the cylinder may be kicking in and kicking out resulting in the surge. Scan for misfires.

I did and I did not see any on my LS1M... But I will scan again tomorrow. WHen I had misfires it was flashing and staying on so that confused me. Is there any other reason it would flash?

Alright, anyone think that a slipping belt could cause this? He has about 70 Grand and I believe it is still the original belt! I am going to look at it tonight...
