Well he didn't buy it for an investment, he bought it cause he wanted one, this will be his every day driving car, rain shine, or snow he will be drining it, that's what he has always done with his cars.

You can't fit 36 land scape timbers in the back of a Vette!

(...So says someone who still owns a Lightning!)

The C6's are nice though...I wouldn't kick one out of the Garage for eating crackers in bed!

He's a cop, he hardly ever used the bed of the lightning, only to bring home the motor for our olds and to move his stuff out, that's about it. I'm still jealous though, he should be here in about an hour to show me i can't wait.

I know where you are coming from on this, one of the only cars I know of that dont depreciate are the vettes, May even go up in price 10 years down the road, and its the first stock 400 hp v8 makes it little more rare after a while on top of it a convertable. Unless he get the c6 z06 then were talking 500 hp. its amazing what they can do.

no, vettes do depreciate.......

just cause after 2 years its worth 30 k you still paid 50k dollars.

Not many vettes in the classified are truely worth more then when they were first introduced...There are certian packages or rear editions but thats about it.

Yeah, and everyone though the first z06 was the shit....then 3 years latter the new z06 kicks the shit out of it. Same thing goes with body styles.....last GEn was hot shit in what 97? Lot of money thats gettin.

Fast forward to 2014......your dads z06 inst wortha whole bunch. On top of that, the improvements in handling, breaking, HP, etc are through the roof.

did he trade the lightning?
if he still has it let me know what he wants for it, i may be interested.

Ya sorry he traded it in, it was an 02 with 38K miles on it, they gave him 22,000$ for it which seems like a damn good deal to me. And oh ya it's not a vert.
