3800 WTF!!! All sorts of Virus's popping up!!

Is there any way to get rid of them all.......i am using three different Virus scans and spyware progs..........they quarantine the virus's but more keep popping up!!

Can i find the root of all the problems, or do i just have to reformat the HD and reinstall my OS?!?!?

I have the same exact problem my computer is infested I never seen soo many pop-ups and problems in all my life, and lately they just keep coming, I don't even wanna get on my computer at home anymore its aggrevating.

Get and do the following

SpywareBlaster 3.3 http://majorgeeks.com/download2859.html
AdAware SE 1.05 http://www.majorgeeks.com/download506.html
SpyBot S&D 1.3 http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/

DL them (they are free), install them, check each for their
definition updates and then run AdAware and Spybot, fixing anything
they say.

In SpywareBlaster - Always enable all protection after updates
In SpyBot - After an update run immunize



Also,
Do a couple online scans from this list

Ive had good luck with Spyware Doctor, in addition to these others mentioned. Get it off of www.download.com

Use mozilla firefox and most of those viruses wont even be able to infect your computer. Alot of them are installed through IE when your brousing certain websites. IE is very unsecure, you wont have that problem with firefox.
You still have to take care of the virus/spyware that you have now, but once you clean it up firefox would be the best thing to use.

Boot the computer into safe mode (continually press F8 during the computer boot until it gives you the option to boot into safe mode). When you boot into safe mode, the viruses/spyware won't boot with the system, so when you run the scan, it will be able to fully get rid of them. I'd definitely try this before you go as far as reformating.

Are you running any file sharing software such as Kazaa? I used to have the same problem until I cleaned Kazaa out of my computer.

I wasn't running any sharing progs when it got infected....i have spyware, adaware, and TrendMicro.

I have scanned and deleted everything they say, but more shit keeps popping up

AIM keeps saying it has encountered a problem and wont work

I've even ran the computer in safe mode.

Nothing is working......do i really have to reformat..>AGAIN!!??

I dont much care for trend micro. They take the file that is bad and put it in a folder "suspect" under their program folder, but the program will still run.

find out what virus it is. It should tell you in trendmicro once it is spotted. If Aim isnt working, delete the program. If kazaa is on there, get kazaabgone, itll delete all of the little programs that stay on once you remove the program from your comp.

firefox does own, do it, do it.

Once you find the virus, do a search on removal instructions, many times you will have to remove registry components.

If you havent done hijack this, try it, but post a log at the forums, those guys will find it out and tell you what to remove and give other hints. I have limited knowledge, but with the stickies there on protecting the comp are detailed.

It is a pain to reformat a comp. I just updated my whole syastem and went with XP because I needed an os above win98 1st version for some addons... XP can bite me, nothing but headaches.
