3800 cleaning up heads and other parts??

I ported my heads, s/c inlet, and lower intake manifold...

not much really just cleaned them up a little and polished them alot.


My question is.... how do i get the little peices of dirt/metal/steel out of the openeings?? I dont need them to get into the engine

Air blast them?

Is that good enough, if not what else?

Use a rag, and some solvent such as mineral spirits or paint thinner.

does each opening flows the same? if not it may hurt you rather than help

I'm assuming you have the parts off the car? If so, you can use mineral spirits to clean them up as mentioned.

Mineral spirits works wonders, I never thought about using it for that

ok so like drench the inside of the parts with that shit and all should be well??

No problems with rust. Let the parts dry off completely and you're good to go.

It wont rust, its like gasoline. We use this at the track to wash our hands off from the VHT and the only problem is that your hands will be dry as FUGG.

I would just use a clean rag to get the majority of it wiped off and use a compressor to spray it out with air. Then just let it sit for a little bit to completely dry.

Try using a high power preasure washer first then use the solvent. I would definetly be satisfied then.
