3800 Exhaust work=problems?

Well I got my exhaust "done" I had the resonator and u-bend removed, and inplace now is a straight pipe with the o2 sensor in it. I also have GTP mufflers on it, which seem to be fine, and they only have about 50k on them. It had rained for the 2 days after it was done, so I wasnt able to really get on it, but when I did (last night) I noticed instead of loosing boost from 12+- psi, my boost had gone up to about 15psi+- psi at the top of second gear. Strange I thought, so today I decided to investigate and I noticed that my front manifold was glowing slightly after a spirited run around.

Should I blame the place that did the exhaust or the 100k mile cat convertor? My assumption is that it is the cat convertor starting to clog, does this sound about right?

your boost is down cause the exhaust is "free-er" more exhaust is being let out and less backpressure so ur peak psi is gonna lower, i saw a 2psi drop when i got my ubend/res done!

sad thing is my boost isnt down, it went up 3psi but I may have fixed it, or it fixed itself... gotta run some more "tests" (r.e. wot) today If it does seem to be the cat, I will be getting one from Ed M.

Oh yeah anyone know if that guy I think his name was Texan32 still sells the 3" dp's? Mine aswell make it worth my while.

If you want a 3" DP from Texan32, you'd better order one TODAY!!!!

He's going over seas and will NOT take any orders after Apr. 1. He MAY put some on sale over at clubgp but it's not certain.
