I have 53k on my car, and have never changed the tranny fluid, coolant, supercharger oil, steering fluid, or brake fluid. I have no issues with the car, outside of my low coolant light being on all the time. Do I need to change any of these? Everyone you ask has a different answer. The dealership recommends it too often, while others say to leave it be.

Any rules of thumb?

this is just me and I am anil about the up keep of my car becaus I dont want to brake any thing till my rebuild fund is ready. but I change the supercharger oil every 5,000 miles but I also only put like 9,000 on the car this year, you can go like 20 or 30 thousand without changing it.
I change the trans fluid every year and flush the coolant every year

Change it!

I've added 6K miles to my GTP since I bought it and have changed the engine oil twice, supercharger oil once, flushed radiator once, and I'll be looking into changing the tranny oil this coming summer.

Someone here once told me:

"Maintenance never hurts" :D

Everyone has different time tables and when to's. Try to develop yours.
