if you had a gt, yeah, go csc, but i wouldnt on a gtp, once you sell everything you have you will be stock, then have to pay alot more for the csc just to run the same times. if you could afford to do a cam and heads and csc, then rock on.

What are your present mods. And why csc? Why not Turbo, m112, hybrid, whipple..etc?

You should definitely sell the stage four blower, IC and then go turbo...

that would only get you ~$1500 which is still over $1600 short of even the cheapest CSC kit that only makes 5-6psi.
The problem is after you buy this you will have a bone stock motor, and even charles with the stage 5 intercooled kit ($5,000+) ran 12.8(?) on a stock 9.5:1 GT motor.

im just trying to put some logic into it so that you dont spend all that money and get let down. you may be better off just switching blowers, m112, mp112, gen v....something like that, or even turbo.

MP112is the most logical choice...You'll need to get of fab a adapter plate and bolt it down. You already have the IC so...

Just remember the MP112s are loud but if you want more boost its alot cheaper than a Whipple.

Charles has a relatively complete blower kit in his garage for ~ $1000.00...

I say its time to sell the rockers, get a cam and 1.7s if possible, and ported l32 heads.


I believe i remember people talking about a good head porting shop in chicago...great with grand prix heads....take a set of l32s to them and get some work done.

no need for L32's, they flow the same and the valves dont add any extra performance. if you are getting heads done, save a few bucks and use L67's.

Intense and zzp have both stated that they do not flow any better than L67. Many people thought they did because of the larger exhaust valve, but in reality it was simply the same exact casting with a larger valve, so it made no difference.

Seems weird that GM would just through on a bigger valve for no reason...and weird that ed would charge $450+ on the sets he had a while ago.

Oh well, then get some 99+ L67 heads, and take them to a good shop. Along with a nice cam. While your at it go ahead and put on a turbo, they work awesome up top. Good luck

Yeah the Novi 1000 is not going to make gobs of power all by itself. But going from a stock time of 16.0 ish to 12.9 ish sounds good to me...

Used CSC kits can be found for as little as $1500 used....

However, I think turbo is a better idea as it has way more potential...

I migth just so happen to have a setup in my garage i'm not using ... *whistle*
